Each year one of the Australian Expedition Guides is selected to be awarded the "GOTY" by the NRE Melbourne Administration Team, several of whom are also trek guides. The criteria for selection addresses two aspects of involvement with No Roads. The award firstly recognises the recipient’s consistently high level of service in their role as a guide. Secondly it recognises their ongoing significant contribution to the promotion and development of the company. Congratulations Barry Jenks for 2016 GOTY. No Roads Expeditions has created a new award to recognise the services of an exceptional member of the porter team over the past trekking season. The Australian Guides will be voting on who they consider should receive this award. This will be a very difficult task, taking into account the high level of service that is consistently provided to our trekkers and to the Australian Guides. All categories of the porter team, Local, Lead, General and Porters in Training are eligible. The porter who receives the most votes will be presented with an engraved trophy and a fully paid for trip to Australia with the porter group that attends that year under the existing program, irrespective of whether he has previously visited. Congratulations Solomon Menaki for 2017 POTY.
