This policy explains how this website, kokodaexpeditions.com.au, handles personal information. The site is a Kokoda Track preparation and information resource published by No Roads Expeditions and Justin Kibell. Information you send us is handled by No Roads Expeditions in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We do not ask for passport, payment or medical details through this website, and ask you not to send them through the contact form.
We use the details you send only to answer your enquiry, and to give you information about Kokoda Track treks if you ask for it. Your message is emailed to the No Roads Expeditions team at info@noroads.com.au. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time).
We share personal information only with the people who help us run the site and answer enquiries (for example our web host, email provider and Cloudflare for the captcha), or if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people. If you later book a trek, No Roads Expeditions collects and handles the booking details under its own privacy policy at noroads.com.au.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and, on the contact page, the Cloudflare Turnstile captcha. These services receive your IP address and browser details when their content loads, and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this page. You can change your browser settings to block cookies, although the contact form may then not work.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse and unauthorised access. No internet transmission is completely secure, so please keep that in mind when deciding what to send. We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping, then delete them.
This site links to other websites, including noroads.com.au, Facebook and YouTube. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their policies.
This site is intended for adults and parents. We do not knowingly collect information from children without a parent or guardian's consent.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@noroads.com.au. If you have a complaint about how we handle your information, contact us at that address and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date shown at the top.
